About Us

For over thirty years EmbroideryFX has offered it’s customer unsurpassed quality, service and products.  We opened a small home based business, based on our training in sales, marketing, art and textiles.  Within six months we had out grown our space and decided to move into a larger retail location.  This was our first big step, and there have been many others since!  
We work with wedding designers, children’s apparel manufacturers, major league sports, and local small business.  When our work became a part of the Presidential Inauguration in 2004 we were elated!  Our customers have come to depend on our dedication and expertise and WE APPRECIATE YOU!

We believe community involvement is important and participate as much as possible.  A highlight was creating and hosting “Jordan Fest” – A Hot Air Balloon Festival, for three years. Stitches Magazine wrote about Melanie’s Embroidery High! 

In 1999 the Chamber of Commerce honored us with the distinguished Entrepreneur of The Year award.

In July 2010, Melanie was named in the top twenty embroiderers across the country by Stitches Magazine.

Here it is years later, and we still believe in education.  So much so that our latest endeavor has been the Embroidery Training Studio we started in Chattanooga, where we train others to be the best they can be.   Be sure and check out the Embroidery Training section of the website.

We have kept up with the trends in apparel as well as new processes for embroidery.  We attend many continuing education classes available through trade shows, equipment training and printed materials.  We offer consulting services, write for trade magazines and share our success with other embroidery shop owners.  In 2008 our work appeared on the cover of Impressions Magazine.

Melanie is a frequent speaker, educator, consultant and contributing writer to industry trade magazines.  Steve’s expertise is in sales and marketing, coupled with a background in manufacturing.  Together we cover a wide spectrum for meeting the needs of our customers.

We opened our doors in 1989 with the hopes of being the best.  We’ve achieved our goal and are now proudly serving many repeat customers.  Our customers look to us for great quality and incredible service.  We try to deliver on these expectations every time.
